With all the traveling we’ve been doing recently, you’d think we’re jet setters! From Saturday, August 4th until Saturday, August 11th we will be reuniting with family and checking out the sights in Southern California!
We are so excited, and we promise to keep you updated with pictures and tweets.
(And we’ll try to keep up with blogging daily…)
Since we already told you how to pack light, and we know you’re more than capable of packing heavy, we’re going to show you some of our plans, and what we’d wear to each!
1. Visiting with Family
We haven’t seen our Western cousins in quite some time! They are all boys, so we know they don’t care about fashion as much as we do, but looking nice is just a must!
These Lilly Pulitzer Buttercup Shorts are cute without being obscenely short. Very appropriate for a casual dinner! We paired them with a Madewell Perfect Chambray Ex Boyfriend Shirt. This has been very trendy recently, either tucked in or not, it’s up to you! We love these Carvela Kurt Geiger Klink Sandals. The color is absolutely gorgeous, and they are casual, but can be dressed up. We finished off this look with a West Avenue Jewelry Monogram Necklace. Monogrammed necklaces have been all the rage since they hit Pinterest, and you can find tons of Etsy shops that make them for less (which is what we’ll be doing, or maybe waiting for Christmas!).
2. Laguna Beach
We are dying to see the tide pools and just experience the beauty of the area. A cute suit and a handy tote are definitely necessary!
We fell in love with this Tara Matthews Bandeau Bathing Suit as soon as we saw it. The color is great, but the bow seriously makes it. Using a cute sundress as a coverup is a great idea, since it transfers easily to lunch on the boardwalk. This Quicksilver Strappy Tank Dress is perfect! Of course you need a great tote to carry all of your beach necessities! We love this Rebecca Minkoff Straw Tote. Keep your eyes safe with these Selima Sun for J. crew Belle Sunglasses and this Gander Mountain Sunhat. Even your towel should be cute! This Vera Bradley Beach Towel is so fun!
3. Rodeo Drive
Although we aren’t allowed to buy anything (window shopping only!) we just have to experience Rodeo Drive!
We are in love with this Lilly Pulitzer Rayray dress. It’s casual and comfortable, but can be dressed up with these Sperry Top-Sider Palm Beach Wedges. Of course we can’t say no to a Kate Spade Bon Shopper, and this print is certainly charming! Add a little glamour with these Chamak by Priya Kakkar Pink Crystal Bangles.
We hope you have a great weekend, and don’t forget to enter our Chicago Belt Co. Giveaway!
